Natasha Tonya Henstridge - born on August 15, 1975, is a Canadian actress from Canada. Her fame began in 1995 when she landed her first role in the sci-fi thriller Species. Then followed Species II as well as Species III. She has appeared in a number of films and television shows, including Maximum Risk (1996). The Whole Nine Yards, The Whole Ten Yards (2004). Ghosts of Mars (2002). She Spies (2002-04), Eli Stone (2008-2009) and Would Be Kings (2008). She was awarded the Gemini Award as Best Actress in the film. She has a role in the CBC Television Series Diggstown. Henstridge was born in Springdale, Newfoundland and Labrador native. She was the daughter of Helen Henstridge (a homemaker) and Brian Henstridge (a construction manager and businessman). She grew up with her younger brother Shane who lived in Fort McMurray. Henstridge was just 14 when she participated in the Casablanca Modeling Agency’s Look of the Year competition and was selected as the first runnerup. In the following year, she relocated to Paris to pursue her modeling ambitions. She was fifteen when Cosmopolitan published her first cover. Henstridge was featured on a variety of other covers of magazines, and she was later able to appear on commercials on television for Old Spice, Olay, and Lady Stetson. After her modeling career was well established, Henstridge started doing commercials and then decided to pursue acting.
