Markie Post was born in Walnut Creek, California. Her career began in television and film productions like "Card Sharks" (1978) or "The New Card Sharks” (1986). Then, she created projects like Double Dare (1976). She also has appeared in TV shows such as 1st to Die (2003) and E! True Hollywood Story (1996) and Electra Woman and Dyna Girl (2001). Her most memorable TV part was "Christine Sullivan" in Night Court (1984). She was in an entire 156 episodes of this show, from 1984 to 1992. Marylee (Armstrong) Post was her mother. She is a noted poet and nuclear scientist Richard Freeman Post (November 14, 1918-April 7, 2015). She had two daughters with her husband, Michael A. Ross: Katie Ross (born June 26 in 1987) and Daisy Ross (born March 30 in 1990). Her birthplace was Palo alto, California and grew up close to Walnut Creek, California. She attended Las Lomas High School in Walnut Creek, California; she was a cheerleader. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree at Lewis & Clark College in Portland Oregon. She performed trick roping in The Wildest West Show of the Stars (1986). She was cremated and her ashes were returned to Michael A. Ross. She was a lifetime Democrat. Markie Post died three months after her 71st Birthday on August 7, 2021. She died on the 27th day following Charles Robinson, her Night Court (1984), co-star, died on July 11, 2021. While the two shows were completely unrelated, Night Court (1984) was cancelled in 1992 when her character, Christine Sullivan, leaving for Washington DC, and Hearts Afire (1992) began later that year , with Post being a character who was not her own, Georgie Lahti, who happened to be working in Washington DC (and later moving to a more rural town).
