Deborah Rhea Seehorn Bio

Deborah Rhea Seehorn, born on May 12, 1972, is an American actress. Most well-known is her character as attorney Kim Wexler on AMC's Better Call Saul (2015-2018), for which she has been awarded the Satellite Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Series, Miniseries, or Television Film. She has also starred in the NBC show Whitney (2011-2013) as well as ABC's I'm with Her (2003-2004) and TNT's Franklin & Bash (2011-2014). Deborah Rhea Seehorn was conceived in Norfolk, Virginia on May 12, 1972. Her mother worked as an executive assistant for the United States Navy, while her father was an agent of the Naval Investigative Service; her family moved frequently during her childhood, residing in Washington, D.C. and Arizona in addition to in Japan. Following the footsteps of her grandfather and father She was interested in drawing, painting and architecture at an early age. Although she was interested in the visual arts throughout her life, it was during this time that she discovered an interest in acting. While in college, she was introduced to the world of contemporary theatre. She graduated from George Mason University in 1994 with a BA in Studio Art. Seehorn started her career in college as an actor and was encouraged by her acting teacher. She tried to gain attention through different ancillary positions in D.C. theater. She was able get the most important roles in local theater productions. However, she had to work odd jobs to make ends meet. To pay for her expenses, she also took on roles in short industrial instructional films. She soon was able to be cast in TV productions. The roles she played were usually that were "very wry and sarcastic" as her idol Bea Arthur. These roles are usually ended after only one or two seasons. Seehorn was part of Better Call Saul, the Breaking Bad spinoff series. Seehorn portrays Kim Wexler (a lawyer) and is the love-interest for the main character, Jimmy McGill/Saul.
