Tauheed Epps, better known as his professional name 2 Chainz, is a well-known American hip hop and rapper artist. Georgia native, he started his career in hip-hop through Playaz Circle, which he formed along with a high school friend. Their debut album, 'Supply and Demand It was not a huge success. Epps later released "Based on the T.R.U. Story', his debut studio album. It reached the top spot on the US Billboard 200 and was an enormous success. The album sold 147,000 copies in the first week! He has never looked back since the album's success and rose to become one of the most respected American rappers. He has been nominated for six Grammy categories, of which one was won by "No Problem." In 2013, he sparked controversy after he was found with marijuana and promethazine onboard a departure flight from Los Angeles International Airport. However, his encounters in the legal system haven't impacted his popularity. His latest studio albumcalled "Pretty Girls Like Trap music', was released in June of 2017. "Based on an R.U. Story', which was the debut studio album of 2 Chainz, can be regarded as his first major work and also the most successful album of his career. It was a big success and reached the top spot in the US Billboard 200, as well as selling 147,000 copies in one week. The album sold 623,000 copies in one year. The album, which featured songs that were a hit, including "No Lie' and 'Birthday Song' and I'm Different', was nominated as the 'Best Rap Album', at the 55th Grammy Awards. Most reviews were mixed. 2 Chainz married Kesha Ward in 2013. The couple have three children: Heaven and Harmony.
