Padma Parvati Lakshmi is a Chennai-based Indian woman who was born on September 1, 1970. Her parents divorced at the age two. Her mother emigrated to the United States to escape the stigma of divorce in India. Lakshmi lived in Chennai with her maternal grandparents for two years before moving to the United States. Her parents divorced and she was blessed with a younger halfbrother and half-sister from her father. Lakshmi is a woman who has a last name with the Hindu goddess of prosperity and wealth, grew up first in New York and then in Los Angeles with her mother and stepfather. She returned to India for a few months every year to visit family. Padma Lakshmi started acting in 1999. She was in "Figlio di Sandokan" which was an Italian Pirate movie. Next, she starred in 'Caraibi' (Pirates Blood Brothers), an episode about 17th-century pirates. In 2001, she played a comedy supporting role as a singer in discos in the film 'Glitter.' Padma is married to Adam Dell, a venture capitalist and mother of one daughter, Krishna Thea Lakshmi Dell. Krishna was conceived on February 20, 2010. Teddy Forstmann was her ex-chairman. He is currently the CEO of IMG. Lakshmi has a child with American venture capitalist Adam Dell. Lakshmi revealed that her baby's father is Dell.
