Denise Richards Bio
Denise Richards was born in Downers Grove, Illinois, the second daughter of Joni Lee, who owned a cafe, and Irv Richards, who was a telephone engineer. Denise has German, French-Canadian, Irish, English, and Welsh roots. Her family was in the Chicago areauntil her family relocated to Oceanside, CA when Denise was 15. She started working as a model and moved to L.A. after she graduated from high school. She was offered roles in film and television and also had breakthrough performances in Starship Troopers (1997) with Casper Van Dien, Wild Things (1998) and The World Is Not Enough (1999) where she portrays a Bond Girl. She also appeared in Undercover Brother with Eddie Griffin, and she appeared in Scary Movie 3 with Charlie Sheen. Moved from Downer's Grove, Illinois and then to Oceanside, California, when she was 15. Irv Richards was a telephone engineer, and Joni Richards was his wife. Has an older sister, Michelle Richards. Her parents run a coffeehouse known as "Jitters" in San Diego. Audition for the role as Beth in Halloween, The Curse of Michael Myers (1995) were held. Mariah O'Brien was awarded the part. Graduated from and attended El Camino High School in Oceanside, California. (1989) She attended Downers Grove North High School, Illinois her freshman year. She attended Herrick Junior High School until she was in the 8th grade. Charlie Sheen was her husband. (January 2002) She was ranked 9 out of the 100 most sexually attractive women in the World by FHM Taiwan (2001). Her mother Joni Richards passed away from cancer on the 30th of November, 2007.
