21 Savage Bio

21 Savage was detained by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) on February 3, 2019. Officials revealed his status as an British citizen who entered the U.S. in July 2005 and then illegally extended his visa after it expired a year later. He was granted bond on February 12 and released the following day, subject to the decision of an expedited deportation hearing. The hearing was initially set for the 9th of April, but it was postponed until April 9. 21 Savage won the award for Best Rap Song for his track "A Lot" at the 2020 Grammy Awards, marking both his and J. Cole's first Grammy wins. The long-awaited sequel with Metro Boomin, Savage Mode II, was released in October of 2020 to acclaim from all over the world and debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, spawning the top 10 singles "Runnin" and "Mr. Right Now.21 Savage was born Sheyaa bin Abraham-Joseph at Newham Hospital, in the Plaistow region of London, on October 22 in 1992. He is the son of Heather Carmillia Joseph Emmons and Kevin Cornelius Emmons. His parents are both of Caribbean origin. His mother's family is from Dominica, and his father's family is from Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. The twin sisters, Kyra and Jayda, choreographers in dance, still live in London. Jayda's dad works for Westminster City Council. Jayda's paternal grandfather was Haitian. Young Nudy is his cousin. His grandmother is from Brixton. [citation needed] 21 Savage was seven when his parents separated. He moved to Atlanta, Georgia with his mother when she was seven. When he was 12 years old, he traveled to the United Kingdom to attend his uncle's funeral. 30 years later, he remained in the UK for a month, and then returned to Atlanta with an H-4 visa. The visa was revoked one year later. The mother of 21 Savage began a relationship to Dr. Amsu, an Endocrinologist and British expatriate. They had many more children together. He also had one brother named Quantivayus ("Tay-Man") who died in a shootout following an attempt to deal in drugs.
