Samara Weaving Bio
Samara Weaving was born in Adelaide, South Australia on February 23rd, 1992. She went on to spend the next few years traveling from Singapore, Fiji and Indonesia to Australia with her family. She attended grade school in Jakarta, Indonesia, eventually going to Pittwater House School in Australia in 2004, before joining the Canberra Girls Grammar School in Canberra. It's no surprise that she has spent much of her time performing in stage plays or short films as well as dance. She was also a part of the Singapore Dance Company, Canberra Youth Theatre and various other theatre groups. She was cast in 2008 as Kirsten Mulroney, a BBC series. While it was just one season, it had 129 episodes. Samara appeared in 48 episodes. The exposure brought her to her next big gig in the role of Indi Walker in the Australian soap show Home and Away (1988), in which she was featured in more than 300 episodes. In spite of all that achievement, family connections are not a bad thing. Samara has been able to secure her first major role in Mystery Road (2013), which starred Hugo Weaving, her uncle. From there, she went on to appear in the 2015 TV film Squirrel Boys (2015) and then followed it up in a big way with a major role in 2015's Monster Trucks (2016) alongside veteran actors such as Rob Lowe and Danny Glover. Samara also appears in commercials for Australian underwear company, Bonds.
