Rena Sherel SOFER
Rena Sherel Sfer is an American actress
from the United States. She is best known for her appearances on American
daytime TV, frequent guest appearances, and made-for TV films. In 1995, Sofer
received a Daytime Emmy Award for her performance of Lois Cerullo in the soap
drama General Hospital. Since 2013, she has appeared as Quinn Fuller on the CBS
soap opera The Bold and The Beautiful. Sofer was the daughter of Susan Sofer (a
psychologist professor) and Martin Sofer (a Conservative rabbi). Her family later
relocated to Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania. Sofer then relocated along with her
father David Sofer, to Teaneck, New Jersey in 1970. However, Sofer lived in
Western Pennsylvania as a child. They lived in Ambridge, Pennsylvania, where
her father led Beth Samuels Jewish Center. She attended the Frisch School, an
coeducational Mordern Orthodox Jewish highschool in Paramus (New Jersey). Sofer
grew up in North Bergen where her father was the synagogue's rabbi Temple Beth
El. She completed her studies at North Bergen High School, later attending
classes at Montclair State College. Sofer played Lois Marie Cerullo for the
first time on General Hospital. She first appeared on television in 1993 as the
manager of the band. Her first role on television was as Rocky McKenzie, a
daytime soap host on the opera. Sofer is most likely best known for her
performance as Lois Cerullo on General Hospital (December 15 1993 - September
24, 1996). Later, she was guest-starring (February 7-17 in 1997; September 30 -
October 2, 1997). Sofer was given an Daytime Emmy Award 1995 for Outstanding
Supporting Artistress in Drama Series for her portrayal as Lois. Sofer was
invited to join CBS' soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful in the newly created
role as Quinn Fuller. Her first episode aired July 12. Sofer has appeared in
several popular prime-time television shows as a support cast member/guest star
role: Seinfeld, Melrose Place, The Chronicle, Ed, Friends, Spin City, Blind
Justice, Ghost Whisperer, 24, NCIS, and Two and a Half Men.
