Lea Katherine Thompson


Thompson was born in Rochester, Minnesota on May 31st, 1961. She is one of five kids of Clifford Thompson and Barbara Barry Thompson and Barbara Barry Thompson. [ She has two sisters, Coleen Goodrich and Shannon Katona as well as two brothers, Andrew and Barry. Her mother is Irish. Mikhail Baryshnikov (the director of the artistic department at the time) advised her that she was a great dancer, but that she was too big. She described that incident as "my epiphany" that led her to quit dancing and become a ballet dancer. It was an amazing moment. I could have smashed my head on the wall for another 10 years.
